A week before New Years party, I finally received all the items I purchased from Rodarte for Target collection, including the SOLD OUT completely black sequence ribcage dress. I paired it with black Sinful t-shirt and just black leather boots from Burlington coat factory. Here is my complete look:

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
V Magazine is the latest one to jump on the "plus size wagon" with this Terry Richardson "One size fits all" spread featuring models Jacquelin Jablonski and Crystal Renn wearing same designer outfits, among other spreads in this January issue.
In my opinion, categorizing women and giving them special treatments segregates them into a corner. Why should we celebrate and exaggerate pre-assumed predisposition to what a "real" woman is? Its condescending and rejoicing in it further pushes the so-called "skinny" agenda onto women who are not Crystal Renn or Kate Moss for that matter. I am sick and tired of the tirade against "skinny" models who obviously do not represent majority of the population, but have been the standard of fashion for as long as its been encrusted into society. If a size 0, 2 or 4 in a couture dress bothers you, don't buy the magazine. There is nothing wrong with being either of those sizes, as well as 8, 10, 16, etc. Who are these individuals or establishments to tell us what a real woman is? One issue will not revolutionize fashion industry as it is, nor will we ever see it take place, so taking one issue every God knows how many years to celebrate "plus" size woman is supposed to make women feel better? Its insulting if you ask me. February issue will go back to featuring "skinny" models and the whole thing will be nothing but a whisper in the wind. How about promotion of healthy lifestyle be a lasting central idea, and not someone else's idea of what a woman should look like? How about we stop criticizing skinny models, who are PAID to look good, remain thin and own gym membership? Yes there are extremes on both sides, but they should be used to educate, not separate. There is room for everyone. On the positive side, any type of glorification of women, of any size, is always a positive thing.

I love these pictures. They perfectly describe what's to see this year in Spring and Summer fashions.

Good bye 80's, tough, metalics etc...hello soft, feminine, ethnic and graphic inspired fashion.

Dolce & Gabbana

Chanel

Versace

Chloe

Alexander Wang (one of my favorite young designers)

YSL

Salvatore Ferragamo (Claudia Schiffer seems to be features a lot for Spring ads. She is the definition of a super model)

Mulberry (Sasha Pivovarova is my current favorite model)

Givenchy

Lanvin (This is an addition to already featured Lanvin ad with Jamie Bochert, who is also model for Rodarte for Target and Marc Jacobs Spring 2010. I absolutely adore her androgynous look). When this ad hit the web, it caused some controversy with its "creepy" appeal.
I was so excited when I saw Seka Aleksic had a new album out. Then I saw some YouTube videos of her new image. I completely understand being inspired by someone, and Rihanna is a great fashion inspiration, but to copy the look, head to toe, is plain lazy and stupid. Here are photos of what I mean:
Maybe this new look is to distract us from a mediocre album she's made. Yea few songs are good and catchy, but I remember her previous album, every single song was amazing and not one was skipped. I hope this is just a phase. Not having your own style and personality is the saddest thing for an entertainer. It paves the way to obscurity as a bad copy of someone else, who obviously has done it better.
Its not just the outfits, hair, makeup, accessories, etc, she also managed to copy every major celebrity tattoo there is.
Seka has disappointed me in every possible way, music and fashion wise. Where is the girl I saw few years back who screamed confidence, sex appeal and originality? Wherever you are, come back. I miss you already.
Talk about military couture! Rihanna is scorching hot, and this video is hardcore and fashion forward.
